PURPOSE:To obtain the title superconducting material with enhanced uniformity and decomposition temperature by replacing part of the copper oxide in LnBa2 Cu3O7-x (Ln is Y, La, etc.) by rhenium oxide into a specific composition to enable heat treatment in air. CONSTITUTION:The objective superconducting material is expressed by the formula LnBa2(Cu1-zRez)3O7-x (Ln is at least one kind of atom selected from Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu; Z satisfies the relationship: 0.01<=z<=0.3). For YBa2(Cu1-zRez)3O7-x as a representative of LnBa2(Cu1-zRez)3 O7-x, Y2O3, BaCO3, CuO and Re2O7 powder of each purity of 99% are respective ly weighted, being subjected to wet blending and drying so as to represent a composition: YBa2(Cu1-zRe2)3O7-x(0.01<=z<=0.3). The resulting mixture is then subjected to the following operations in this order: 1. calcination in air, 2. rough grinding, 3. recalcination in air, 4. wet grinding, 5. drying, 6. binder incorpora tion, 7. granulation, 8. uniaxial pressure forming, 9. calcination in O2. |
