<p>PURPOSE:To distinguish the cause of an error by constituting the title reader/ writer so that when an IC card reaches a prescribed position in a card carrying path, it is stopped, a turning arm is turned and an IC contact part is brought into contact with the IC card. CONSTITUTION:When an inserted IC card A is carried, reaches a prescribed position and a first detector 6 detects the IC card, a motor is turned OFF and carrying of the card is stopped. Subsequently, an actuator 10 is operated, an IC contact part 7 is lowered by a turning arm 8, and when the IC card A exists at the prescribed position, the turning of the turning arm 8 is not obstructed on the way, therefore, a second detector 11 is turned ON, a pin check is executed, and the read and write of card information are executed. In such a way, the second detector 11 is turned ON or holds an OFF state. Therefore, whether the IC card A has stopped at the prescribed position or has overrun can be discriminated.</p> |
