PURPOSE:To enable stable tracking even if an optical disk is subjected to writing and reading out by forming the optical disk as projecting patterns, thereby forming a rough master mold. CONSTITUTION:Information pits to be previously recorded are formed of recessed patterns by a photoresist 6 on a glass substrate 5 and 'Teflon(R)' 7 is stuck thereon to form a release layer; further a 1st master mold substrate 9 is adhered thereto by using a UV curing resin (UV resin) 8 as an adhesive agent. The substrate is thereafter stripped from the boundary of the 'Teflon(R)' to obtain the 1st master mold 10 having the projecting patterns. The 2nd master mold 11 having recessed patterns is similarly produced and the 'Teflon(R)' 7 is stuck to this master mold 11. The optical disk having the projecting patterns is obtd. if the substrate 13 for the optical disk is stripped from the boundary of the 'Teflon(R)' after said substrate is adhered onto the above- mentioned master mold by using a UV resin 12 for the optical disk. The ends of the pits the be recorded are then limited by the projecting patterns and the specified light reflectivity is obtd. The stable tracking is thus executed. |
