<p>[PROBLEMS] To provide a hydroelectric power generation facility which can generate power continuously by utilizing the tide level difference of sea water and exhibits good power generation efficiency by pumping the sea water after power generation by a pumping means not using electricity. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The hydroelectric power generation facility comprises a power generation chamber (10) containing a hydraulic turbine (11), a reservoir (PO) for storing the sea water after power generation, a headrace (D) having an intake (12) arranged under the surface of the sea and a drainage port (13) arranged in the vicinity of the hydraulic turbine (11), a pumping pipe (Y) having an inlet (16) communicating with the power generation chamber (10) and an outlet (17) arranged in the reservoir (PO), a rotary power generation means arranged in the headrace (D) and rotated by the pressure and the flow rate of sea water, and a pumping means arranged in the pumping pipe (Y) while being coupled with the rotary power generation means and rotated by the rotary power generated from the rotary power generation means where the pumped sea water is stored temporarily in the reservoir (PO) and discharged to the sea through a drainage pipe (22) provided in the circumferential wall (21) of the reservoir (PO) during ebb tide.</p> |
