PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality and high-performance superconducting ceramics of Y-Ba-Cu-O or Y-R-A-Cu-O base by sol-gel process, by using, as a raw material, tri-n-butoxyyttrium, one of Y alkoxides. CONSTITUTION:In order to produce Y-Ba-Cu-O or Y-R-A-Cu-O-based superconducting ceramic thin film, tri-n-butoxyyttrium [Y(n-C4HgO)3], BaCl2 and CuCl2 as starting materials are dissolved in an alcohol followed by addition of distilled water into a sol. This sol is then subjected to spin coating at ca. 500rpm on a MgO substrate and drying at room temperature for ca. 24hrs into a gel followed by sintering at ca. 950 deg.C. The above procedure is repeated two or more times, thus obtaining the objective superconducting ceramic thin film with specified thickness. |
