PURPOSE:To obtain uniform, defectless and good orientation characteristics and to simplify the production process by using a specific independent org. compd. or mixture composed of said compds. as the org. compd. of a org. molecular oriented film formed by transferring an extremely thin layer of the org. compd. on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The individual compd. or the mixture composed of the compds. selected from the amphoteric org. compds. having hydrophilic groups at both ends and having a functional group near the central part, more particularly, the org. compds. expressed by formulas I, II, etc., among said compds. is stuck onto the substrate by using a Langmuir-Blodgett's technique. In formulas, -Y1, -Y2 are -OH, -NH2, etc.; R1, R2 are hydrocarbon; -A1- is expressed by formulas III, IV, etc. The liquid crystal oriented film which has the uniform, defectless and good orientation characteristics and is easily producible is thereby obtd. |
