PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composite particle having rugged surface and useful for polishing and grinding, etc., by depositing diamond particles on the surface of a heat-resistant granule under specific condition. CONSTITUTION:The titled composite particle can be produced by transferring (A) a heat-resistant granule (e.g. SiC) having a particle diameter of >=30mum controlled by pulverization, etc., and classification with (B) a hydrocarbon (e.g. methane), an O-containing organic compound (e.g. acetone), a mixture of the above gas and an O-containing substance (e.g. O2) or a mixture of the above gas and a carrier gas (e.g. H2) to a gaseous zone for the formation reaction of diamond by vapor-phase method and depositing fine particles of diamond having particle diameter of 0.1-100mum on the surface of the heat-resistant granule. |
