<p>PURPOSE: To make screen switching operation easy by displaying information that a virtual screen which is displayed stores and information on a virtual screen whose contents are altered among virtual screens which are not displayed. CONSTITUTION: When the number of virtual screens stored in a RAM 10 is, for example, 4, a processor 5 gives numbers 1, 2, 3, and 5 to the respective virtual screens. In a display area of a display part 13, character strings in, for example, 24 lines are displayed and when a 25th line is a state display line, character codes for displaying the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are written in an area of a screen buffer memory 11 corresponding to the 25th line. Then bit specifying attributes are added to the character codes of those 1-4 to display, for example, 1 when one virtual screen is being displayed and blink the number of a virtual screen whose contents are altered, e.g. 3. Therefore, the blinking number 3 is displayed at the lowermost part of the display part 13 and the screen switching operation can be made easy.</p> |
