It is intended to provide a food package for a high-pressure treatment and a high-pressure treatment method for foods by which it can be easily determined whether or not a food contained in the package has been subjected to the high-pressure treatment. To achieve this object, the package for a high-pressure treatment comprises a package body (7) in which an article to be subjected to the high-pressure treatment is contained and a irreversible pressure-sensitive marker (1) which is located at such a position as visible to the naked eye from the outside of the package body (7) and undergoes color development when pressure is applied thereon.
