A method for preparing hepatitis B-type surface antigen is presented. Thus, pTHB 1 was cut by Eco R5 and Sal 1, treated with bacteria alkaline phosphatase, and purified from 8.9 Kb DNA segment on Agarose gel. 8.9 Kb DNA segment was linked to 10.25 Kb DNA segment obtained from pCS 2 to give pHPS 1, which was transformed to HB 101 and used to prepare mini-plasmid.
