<p>PURPOSE:To increase switching surge resistance, to reduce dispersion thereof and to improve reliability by forming an electrode shaped to a sintered body onto an electrode forming surface in the sintered body, a bored hole of which is buried with fillers, in a voltage dependent nonlinear resistor. CONSTITUTION:Both end faces of a voltage dependent nonlinear resistor are polished by abrasives corresponding to #400-2000 such as diamond by using water, preferably, oil. A ground surface is washed, a resin is applied onto the whole surface of a ground electrode forming surface, the voltage dependent nonlinear resistor is deaerated, the insides of bored holes are filled with a resin, the resin is cured, and the residual resin on the electrode forming surface is removed. An aluminum electrode is shaped onto the whole surface of the electrode forming surface, from which the residual resin is gotten rid of, by a metal such as aluminum metallicon, thus acquiring the desired voltage dependent nonlinear resistor. A discharge withstand current rating is increased by filling the bored holes, and the excellent voltage nonlinear resistor, the discharge withstand current rating of which is hardly dispersed, is obtained.</p> |
