PURPOSE:To execute processing without being conscious of the specification of a memory card by converting information read out of a memory card in accordance with a reading request from a host into the one appropriate for the host and sending the converted information. CONSTITUTION:The host 1 executes processing based on an IPL program read from the memory card 3, a control program and an application program. A reader/writer 2 converts data so that the host 1 can access the memory card 3. Thereby, the reader/writer 2 converts information read out of memory card 3 into the one appropriate for the host 1 in accordance with a reading request from the host 1 and sends the converted information. On the other hand, the reader/writer 2 converts the sent information and writes the converted information in the memory card 3 in accordance with a writing request from the host 1. |
