<p>PURPOSE:To obtain positional information and to easily input a position by measuring acceleration to be applied to a mouse without using a rotating sphere or light and executing integrating calculation. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration sense type mouse is provided with X and Y direction acceleration sensing parts 1, 2 to sense the horizontally lateral and longitudinal direction components of acceleration applied to the mouse when the mouse is moved. A position calculating part 3 calculates the current position of the mouse from the acceleration measured by both the sensing parts 1, 2. A position calculation control switch 4 for stopping the operation of the position calculating part 3 is arranged to move the mouse while fixing the current position of the mouse for calculation. When the mouse is moved under said state, the sensing parts 1, 2 sense the current acceleration applied to the mouse and the position calculating part 3 finds out the current position by integrating calculation and inputs the positional information to a computer 7.</p> |
