PURPOSE:To record an image on an optional sheet material by providing a coating device, a device which dries a solution applied to a sheet material, and a conveying device which conveys the sheet material, and forming an image receiving layer corresponding to a photosensitive material in use on an optional sheet material and manufacturing an image receiving material. CONSTITUTION:At least one container 418 which contains the image receiving layer forming solution 416, the coating device 424 which applies the solution in this container 418 to the sheet material, the device which dries the solution 416 applied to the sheet material, and conveying devices 408, 410, and 414 which convey the sheet material from a sheet material insertion opening 402 to a discharge opening 403 along the coating device 424 and drying device 422 are provided in the housing 400 which has the insertion opening 402 and discharge opening 403. Consequently, while the optional sheet material is conveyed, the image receiving layer forming solution 416 is applied to the sheet material and dried, so the image receiving material is easily manufacture and image recording is carried out without using any ready-made image receiving material. |
