PURPOSE:To automatically form a tilt down state by preventing a tilt up locklever from rotating to a tilt up lock position even when an outboard motor body collides with a drifting wood or the like to cause a tilt up state. CONSTITUTION:A tilt stopper lever 19 lockingly connected to one end of a tilt stopping rod 18 is rotatably supported on one end of a tilt up locklever supporting shaft 15, which has a tilt spring hook 21 fixed adjacently to the tilt stopper lever 19. The tilt spring hook 21 is cylindrical, and its one end is formed with a semicircular notched step 22 on the side of the tilt stopper lever 19. The tip of an engaging pin 23 fixed to the tilt stopper lever 19 protrudes above the notched step 22. A tilt spring 20 is fitted around the supporting shaft 15, and fixed with its one end passing through the tilt spring hook 21. |
