PURPOSE:To prevent the blinking of a trap in the apparatus in the caption by providing a butterfly valve in the intake system of an engine and controlling the butterfly valve to open and close in order that the exhaust pressure in a trap device is kept in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:A pressure sensor 17 is attached to the entrance of a trap device 13. The exhaust pressure specified range of the trap device 13 is asked by the signal from a rotational speed sensor 21. A butterfly valve 5 provided on an intake system is controlled to open and close in order that the signal form the pressure sensor 17 is kept within the specified range. Through this manner, the black smoke particles are burnt by exhaust gas, so that the blinding of the trap can be prevented.
