PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembling into a battery jar by constituting a display device with a frame member separate from the battery jar and a float held by the frame member and fitting it via the frame member along the inner face of a side wall with a window. CONSTITUTION:A display device 9 to give the different display according to the change of the electrolyte state is provided on the inside of a window 6 so that the electrolyte state inside can be displayed via the window 6. The display device 9 is wholly constituted of an acid-resistant material and provided with a frame member 10 and a float 11 held by the frame member 10, and the float 11 is operated in response to both the displacement of the liquid level of the electrolyte and the change of the specific gravity. When the display device 9 is to be assembled into a battery jar main body 2, the display device 9 is inserted downward from the top and positioned while a guide rib 36 is received by notches 20 and 22 and a guide rib 37 is received by notches 21 and 20. The assembling work of the display device is thereby simplified. |
