PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct image even under high humidity by using a photosensitive body having a surface protective layer consisting of an organic plasma polymerized film by specifying pH of a toner at the time when a powder toner is measured by dispersing it into ion exchange water. CONSTITUTION:In an image forming method by which an electrostatic latent image is formed on a photosensitive body whose outermost surface consists of an organic plasma polymerized film, and thereafter, this latent image is developed by using a powder toner, pH of the toner at the time when the powder toner is measured by dispersing it into ion exchange water is set to 2.5-6.5. When the toner pH is smaller than 2.5, its acid is too strong, the deterioration of a cleaning member is quickened and a cleaning failure becomes apt to be generated, and when the toner pH is larger than 6.5, its acid is too weak, and it is quickened that the surface of the organic plasma polymerized film becomes hydrophilic. In such a way, even under high humidity, an image flow, etc., is not generated, and the distinct image is obtained. |
