The detector (2) fitted on the weapon (1) being fired and monitoring the firing activity, works in conjunction with a signal indicator fitted on pref. a moving target. The indicator can be an infra-red transmitter, and emits signals to a presentation unit, such signals being indicative of the aiming work of the marksman. The presentation unit (5) provides a visual observation facility of the aiming work, and/or records the relevant data. - The detector and signal indicator are in wireless signal transmission connection with each other, which permits unhindered movement between them, which is particularly valid for the moving target. The detector has an optical control for triggering the signal indicator (3), this device having a light source, e.g. a light diode, which sends control signals to the signal indicator, which in turn transmits measurement light pulses to the detector.
