The invention relates to a system making it possible to considerably enhance, by day, night and in foggy weather, the passive and active safety of vehicles and plant equipped therewith, both when reversing and when overtaking and changing direction. It uses, in an aerodynamic fairing 1, video equipment 8, 9 and telemetry equipment 11, 12 transmitting to the driving and/or monitoring station, on one or more video screens, multiple information which can be interpreted directly in order to afford safety to various manoeuvres.
