Corrosion analysis conducting and static electrochemical process - involving multiple electrode, electrolyte bath and EMF measurement

A method and device for conducting and static electrochemical examination of corrosion processes in metals enable rapid determination of speed of corrosion and the most suitable corrosion protection to be adopted. The method involves working electrodes, counter-electrodes and reference electrodes (3) immersed in an electrolyte. The electromotive forces on the working and counter-electrodes are measured w.r.t. the reference electrode. The object is non-destructively tested by prevention of inhomogeneous corrosion effects using several electrodes of each type. Different points of the object act as working electrodes. At least two corrosion effects are induced whose characteristic parameters are dependent on the inhomogeneous corrosion effects using several electrodes of each type.
