METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROL OF MAGNETRON FILAMENT ELECTRIC POWER SOURCE

The magnetron filament power control method and apparatus are provided to extend the lifetime of filament in the molding by preventing the overheat of filament. The reference resistance value is set up(300). The voltage and current of filament are measured(310). The resistance estimate of filament is calculated based on the voltage and the measured current of filament(320). And the applied voltage is controlled based on the comparison between the reference resistance value and the resistance estimate(330). In case the resistance estimate is lower than the reference resistance value, the applied voltage is increased. In case the resistance estimate is higher than the reference resistance value, the applied voltage is reduced.
