MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL FOR PROVIDING DYNAMIC EXTENDED DATABASE FIELDS AND METHOD OF THE SAME

A mobile terminal capable of extending a field of a database without modifying a structure of the database and a method for dynamically extending the field of the database are provided to offer a new data field without affecting a present application or system by dynamically extending the field of the database. A database comprises a main database(123) storing basic data used by a mobile application and an extension database(124) storing additional data needed for the mobile application. A database subsystem(122) provides an API(Application Programming Interface) for accessing the database. An extension information managing module(121) generates an extension database according to request of the mobile application, generates an additional data field for storing the data additionally needed fro the mobile application in an extension database table of the expanded database, and synchronizes the main database with the extension database.
