<p>PURPOSE:To recover a purified lead mineral with high quality in a high yield, by adding sulfuric acid to a sulfide mineral having an complex composition and difficult to treat, selectively sulfating PbS in the presence of a reducing agent, and then treating this complex sulfide mineral by the mineral flotation method. CONSTITUTION:Sulfuric acid is added to a sulfide mineral having a complex composition and difficult to treat and PbS is selectively sulfated in the presence of a reducing agent. The resulting complex sulfide mineral selectively sulfated is treated by the normal mineral flotation method, and a purified lead mineral is recovered as a precipitate. Preferred as the above-mentioned reducing agent are an iron powder, a zinc powder, and an aluminum powder. In the case where an iron is used, the amount of the powder added is not less than 20kg, preferably 20-60kg, per ton of the raw material, i.e., the complex sulfide mineral. In the case of a zinc powder, the amount of the powder added is not less than 10kg, preferably 10-40kg, per ton of the raw material, i.e., the complex sulfide mineral. According to this method, the separating efficiency in the flotation can be greatly increased and a purified Tb mineral having high quality can be recovered in a high yield.</p> |
