PURPOSE:To prevent shift channels from joining together when a write discharge is maintained by making longer the path of a lead conductor involved by a method wherein the lead conductor connecting together first shift electrodes respectively facing write electrodes of shift channels is allowed to extend and make a detour in the direction of the write electrode. CONSTITUTION:By making the lead conductor of a first shift electrode Y11 facing write electrodes W1, W2 extend and detour, if voltage is, for instance, applied to the write electrode W1 of one of the shift channels SC1 to make the electrode carry out a write discharge, the discharge of the shift electrode Y11 will extend to a lead conductor y1l1 in the vertical direction from a lead conductor yh1 in the transverse direction, and further extend to a lead conductor yh2 and the shift conductor y11 of another shift channel SC2 in the transverse direction. However, comparing with the conventional lead conductor pattern, that is, the lead conductor directly connected with the shift electrode Y11 in the vertical direction, the discharge intensity is attenuated, so that a faulty discharge is prevented in the shift electrode Y11 of the shift channel SC2. |
