Diamond wheel of variable shape for shaping or moulding materials. The invention relates to a grinding wheel with variable diamond-encrusted sectors on the diameter for conforming to the shapes of the mouldings. This wheel consists of a plate 5 with guide stops 6 for clamping in position interchangeable diamond-encrusted sectors 1, coming to bear on a shaped knurled wheel 3 which is itself interchangeable. A flange 10 gives sealing and protection. The user shapes each compilation of sectors 1 to the shape of the moulding to be machined in order that each sector bears on the staged knurled wheel 3 or makes the upper active part of the sectors 9 bear against a model of the moulding to be machined, like a setting jig, the use of the knurled wheel for positioning being optional. The wheel according to the invention is particularly intended for shaping or moulding materials made from stone, marble and granite. <IMAGE>
