a) The present invention relates to an article of footwear including an upper 1 fastened on to a bottom stock including a heel 11 by means of a sock 5 and a mounting insole 4. b) This article of footwear is characterised in that the upper part of the heel 11 defines a concave surface 13 interacting with a platform (insert) insole consisting of an assembly of two thicknesses 8, 9 fastened on their periphery, one of the thicknesses 8 or first thickness being fastened on the heel 11, whilst the other, resilient thickness is fastened to the sock 5 or to the mounting insole 4 and is held flat as a result of its resilience so as to create a pocket 10 between these two thicknesses 8, 9. <IMAGE>
