The flax harvester has a cutting table with a gatherer to bring the cut crop into a seed drum (8) where the seeds are removed and separated from the stems. A pattern of crushing rollers (12) bruises the stems and enables them to dry evenly and rapidly.The stems are further crushed by rollers and guide edges which break up the wooden outside of the stems. A drying stage can be added between the two crushing stages
