PURPOSE:To improve the characteristics of a coating film by dyeing a lens with a disperse dye after providing a cured film consisting of the hydrolyzate of a specific silicon compd. to the lens. CONSTITUTION:A coating compd. consisting of the hydrolyzate of the silicon compd. expressed by formula and a hardener is coated on a base material for the lens and is cured by heating; thereafter, the lens having the resultant coating film is dyed by a dyeing bath consisting of the disperse dye. In formula, n=1-3; R<1> is an alkyl group, alkoxy alkyl group; n-pieces of R<1> may be the same or different; R<2> is an alkyl group of 1-6C or aryl group; R<3> is an alkylene group or alkylene oxide group of 1-10C; X is a functional group contg. an epoxy group. The danger of the cracking on the surface of the coated film is thereby decreased and the resistance to hot water, light and weather as well as the antistatic property and pattern dyeability are improved; in addition, the surface reflectivity is increased and the adhesiveness to a vapor deposited metallic film, etc., is improved. |
