PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a coupler against light and heat, and to reduce the stain of a white ground by incorporating a specified 4-hydroxy-5- acylaminooxy indole coupler in the title coupler. CONSTITUTION:The cyan color forming coupler contains the 4-hydroxy-5- acylaminooxy indole coupler which is substd. with two substituting groups at 3 position of the coupler shown by the formula wherein R1 is an aliphatic, an aromatic, a heterocyclic ring group or a substd. amino group, R2 and R3 are each an aliphatic, an aromatic or a heterocyclic ring group, R2 and R3 together with each other may form a ring, X is a group (comprising hydrogen atom) capable of being released by an oxidative coupling reaction with a developing main agent. Thus, the cyan color forming coupler which has the durability of a color image and the excellent color reproducibility, and is reduced in the generation of the stain in the white ground, is obtd. |
