The device has two adjustment channels for adjusting different current by colors of LEDs, where one of the channels is adjusted to nominal current. Other channel is regulated at low current for improving output and lifetime of the LEDs and at high current for improving power in a pulsed or non-pulsed mode. A control unit i.e. ammeter, controls the current and is provided with a self calibration function relative to current values.
