<p>The invention concerns a control for a transmission line for motor vehicles with an electronic engine-power control and an automatic gearbox. In addition, in order to adjust an accelerator pedal (25) which acts as a power control element, its movements and those of the brake pedal (16) are monitored by a computer (10), and predetermined movement sequences are selectively recorded in the form of direct gear selection control instructions by the driver, in order to initiate gear-changing, if necessary, after verification of the admissibility of the new gear. Automatic changing-up is inhibited on release of the accelerator pedal, provided that the engine speed remains below a predetermined maximum speed which depends on the characteristics of the engine. Movements of the accelerator pedal (25) are also indirectly controlled by the computer (10).</p> |
