<p>An improved molding apparatus (40) is disclosed for molding a complex shape, such as a channel (42), from composite materials. A male mold member (50) is made up of individual mold blocks (52-60) which are separated by pressure diaphragms (53, 55). Entry of pressurized air within the pressure diaphragms (53, 55) moves the blocks apart, effectively expanding the male mold member (50) within the female mold member (48) to mold the composite material into a complex shape, such as the channel (42).</p> |
