<p>This invention relates to an NC data preparation method for simultaneous 5-axis control and comprises the steps of determining a point (Ai) on a curve forming the locus (Mk) of the tip of a tool in a three-dimensional curve surface (SS), determining a normal vector (N^¨B7) and a tangential vector (T^¨B7) of the tool tip locus at this point (Ai), determining next the outer product vector (S^¨B7) of the normal vector (N^¨B7) and the tangential vector (T^¨B7), determining the tool center axis vector (V^¨B7) using the direction inclined a designated angle υ toward the direction of the product vector (S^¨B7) form the normal vector (N^¨B7) on the plane (PL) formed by the normal vector (N^¨B7) and the product vector (S^¨B7) as the direction of the tool center axis and preparing the NC data for the simultaneous 5-axis control by use of the coordinates values of the point (Ai) and the tool center axis vector (V^¨B7).</p> |
