PURPOSE:To correct a pattern for erasing an electrostatic latent image without using a specific optical system by erasing the latent image by a pattern converted by logically operating a pattern written in a pattern storing memory. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive band 1 is charged with a charging means 2, and after charging, the band 1 is exposed by an ELI forming means 8 to form an ILI. A computing means 6 executes the logical operation of data outputted from the pattern storing memory 5 in accordance with the deleted or extracted contents and corrects data to control the lighting of an inter-image lamp 4. The lamp 4 controls the ON/OFF of plural light emitting elements independently of every prescribed moving distance to selectively erase electrostatic charge on a photosensitive body. A charge pattern to be erased by the line scanning of the lamp 4 is stored in the memory 5. The means 6 logically operates the data of each light emitting element unit obtained from the memory 5 and allows the pattern formed by the lamp 4 to approximate to the charge pattern. When charge is erased by means of the approximate pattern, the pattern can be corrected without using another optical system. |
