PURPOSE:To obtain a graceful color patterned sheet by a method wherein a continuous sheet, which has been molded by calender processing by mixing up different color synthetic resin pellets with one another and has a pattern flow in a rolling direction, is cut into fixed lengths, whose calender processing in the different rolling directions is performed further. CONSTITUTION:Vinyl chloride resin is suitable for thermoplastic synthetic resin to be used. A pigment and dye along with a necessary plasticizer, filler, stabilizer, antistatic agent and reinforcing agent are compounded with the vinyl chloride resin, which are kneaded sufficiently with a Banbury mixer and then molded into pellets. After the mixture has been preheated, the same is molded continuously into a sheetlike state by heating and rolling under light kneading and a sheet having a different colored flow pattern in a rolling direction is obtained. Then the sheet is made into square sheets by cutting the sheet in predetermined lengths and secondary rolling is performed through secondary heat calender processing in the direction meeting at right angles with a primary rolling direction. Therefore, a flow pattern formed through a first process is widened and dispersed in the direction meeting at right angle direction with the flow, a graceful colored pattern whose edge of a pattern picture is gradated and contrast in different colors and light and shade are mitigated is obtained. |
