A sealing plate (1) has a holding portion (2) secured on the front face (11) of a rail (12) and a sealing portion (3) with at least one sealing edge (4), which is arranged on the mating track (14) of a track element (15) so as to slide on it in a leaktight manner. To ensure that the same sealing plate (1) can be used for rails (12) of different shapes and/or sizes, notched grooves (24) are machined into one or both sides of the holding portion (2), allowing an edge portion (23) of the holding portion (2) to be separated from the holding portion (2) along the notched grooves (24) to allow adaptation of the contour (22) of the holding portion (2) to front faces (11) of different sizes of different rails (12).
