PURPOSE:To prevent damage of electrode plates, whitening of resin of battery jar, and deformation of a reinforcing case by placing a lid on one end of the battery jar in resin which accommodates electrode plates, fitting the reinforcing case in metal on the battery jar, folding the peripheral edges of an opening of reinforcing case toward the top peripheral edge of the lid, and pressing it and fixing. CONSTITUTION:After fitting of electrode plates 2, the open face of a battery jar 1 is sealed with a film 3 having gas barrier function. A lid 5 consisting of metal, synthetic resin, rubber, ceramic, or any other suitable material is placed on the oversurface of a terminal penetrating part 1a of this battery jar 1. In a reinforcing case of metal 4 covering the outer surface of the battery jar, the electrode plates 2 are fitted and the battery jar 1 whose open face is sealed with a sealing film 3 is inserted, and the peripheral edges of the opening are folded toward top peripheral edge of the lid 5, followed by pressing and fixing. This eliminates application of unreasonable force to the battery jar 1 or reinforcing case 4, damage to the electrode plates 2, whitening of the battery jar 1, and deformation of the case 4. |
