PURPOSE:To obtain the title permanent magnet having excellent magnetization characteristics, corrosion-resisting property and stability in efficiency by a method wherein the title permanent magnet is formed using the permanent magnet material having the specific composition and also having the volume ratio smaller than that of the specific main phase and the subphase. CONSTITUTION:The title permanent magnet has the composition of RxT100-x-y-z-ByMz (provided that R shows one or more kinds of rare-earth elements including Y, T shows Fe or Fe and Co in the form of 5.5<=x<=11.76, 2<=y<=15 and z<=10, and M shows one or more kinds of Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta and W), it has the main phase only of the crystal structure of tetragonal system, or it has both the main phase as above-mentioned and an amorphous and/or crystalline R-poor subphase. The title permanent magnet is formed using the material of permanent magnet having volume ratio of the main phase and the subphase at the value of (subphase/main phase) 'v' smaller than {0.1176(100-z)-x}/X. The value 'v' is obtained by the observation of an electron microscope. As a result, magnetization characteristics and corrosion- resisting property can be improved. |
