<p>An air-conditioner and an operation method thereof are provided to operate a plurality of indoor units in the same mode by controlling the operation mode of the outdoor unit about the indoor units depending on the presence of the master indoor unit. A method for operating an air-conditioner, which includes a remote controller performing central control of one or more outdoor unit and a plurality of indoor units and set at least one of the indoor units as master indoor unit, comprises the steps of: searching the indoor units in operation or starting to operate(S110), determining whether the searched indoor unit is the master indoor unit(S120), and controlling the operation mode of the outdoor unit connected to the master indoor unit to the same mode as the master indoor unit(S130-S170).</p> |
