PURPOSE:To cast continuously and easily a steel plate having a uniform thickness by pressing a pair of cast plates drawn out below a pair of cooling rolls to each other with a pair of press rolling rolls. CONSTITUTION:Molten steel 8 is supplied into each of a pair of gates 6a, 6b, and the molten steel 8 is brought into contact with the outside circumferential surface of a pair of cooling rolls 1 under rotation so as to be stuck thereon. The steel 8 stuck on the outside circumferential surface of the roll 1 solidifies and as the rolls rotate, a pair of cast plates 8' having a prescribed thickness are drawn out. A pair of the plates 8' drawn out below the roll gap position of a pair of the rolls 1 are pressed to each other with a pair of press rolling rolls 9, whereby a sheet of steel plate 8'' is obtd. |
