摘要 The driving device shown is formed by a driver (1) and the special design of a cutting tool (2) which from a tool shank (10) merges via a slim truncated cone (11) into the cutting part (3). Sitting on the bottom end of the tool shank (10) is the sleeve-like driver (1), which widens from the diameter of the tool shank (10) towards the top in a trumpet-like end face (13) in which spiral sliding grooves (14) are formed, the width (b) of which increases towards the top or towards the tool shank (10). Two transversely running coupling lugs are designated by (17). The coupling lugs (17) can engage in a transverse groove of, for instance, a drive spindle; in other words they are part of a power-transmission path of the drive spindle via the driver (1) on the tool shank (10). This coupling connection engages with greater torque free from shock and thereby protects tool and workpiece while deforming the driver (1), which is made of an elastic material and can also perform the function of a predetermined breaking point. In this arrangement, the guide grooves (14) serve the purpose of throwing off in particular long fibrous chips radially to the outside in such a way that the chip material can be easily caught and fed to a transport device for further transport. <IMAGE>
