<p>An inductive proximity detector has an L.C. oscillating circuit which is damped by the approach of an electrically conducting object (damping member) and an evaluation circuit which determines the damping of the oscillation. To permit particularly easy and reliable determination of the latter, the evaluation circuit is a counting circuit which counts the number of oscillations whose amplitude exceeds a predetermined value (4, 5).</p> |
