An organic electroluminescent display device and a method for supplying the power are provided to remove standby power consumption due to a DC power generator in a low power display mode by operating the organic electroluminescent display panel with a high voltage and a low voltage supplied from a driving integrated circuit instead of the DC power generator. An organic electroluminescent display device includes an organic electroluminescent display panel(130), a first power supply unit(140), a second power supply unit(150), a first switching device and a second switching device. The panel receives the power from the power supply unit and supplies the power to each pixel circuit. Each pixel circuit receives the high voltage and the low voltage and makes the driving current to a low voltage by passing through the organic electro luminescent device in a high voltage. The first power supply unit supplies a first high voltage and a first low voltage to the panel. The second power supply unit supplies a second high voltage and a second low voltage to the panel. A second high voltage terminal and a second low voltage terminal are electrically connected to the panel.
