PURPOSE:To contrive improvement in surge-resisting characteristics by a method wherein resistance paste is formed by kneading specific glass and a specific vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A highly efficient glazed resistor can be formed by obtaining a microscopic boride 4 by reducing the oxide and the boron oxide contained in boron-silicate glass 2 in the sintering process conducted in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. As the boride is obtained by conducting a reduction-replacement using silicon 3 and silicon monoxide which can be pulverized easily, using no mechanical crushing method performed on the boride belonging to a hard metal in general, microscopic boride 4 can be obtained. A wide range of sheet resistors having the sheet resistance of 10kOMEGA/square or above and a low-resistance temperature coefficient can be sintered simultaneously, and also blendable paste can be manufactured. Besides, as the boride of microscopic grain diameter can be formed, surge-resisting characteristics can be improved.
|
