In an injection syringe for use once only the piston (3) consists at least in part of a material which is soluble in aqueous injection media and which is physiologically safe to inject into the human body. Measures are taken to allow the injection medium to contact said material when the syringe is filled, whereby the piston will be dissolved and the syringe put out of operation. A suitable material is crystallinic glucose. |
