INDUCTIVE PROXIMITY DETECTOR

An inductive proximity detector (4) has a high-frequency alternating magnetic field which is influenced by an approaching object (3). An alternating magnetic field is produced by a wobble-frequency alternating current (2), and the approaching object (3) is a passive resonance circuit with an open magnetic circuit. This measure permits unambiguous marking of working ranges so that they can be reliably identified and clearly distinguished from metal parts.
