<p>The invention pertains to the technical field of adjusting the relative location of the wheels on a vehicle. The problem is personal mobility vehicles have a narrow track to allow them to pass through doorways, but they easily turn over on their sides. Previous solutions to this problem used manually adjustable wheels to provide stability. However, aged and infirm people could not easily adjust the wheels manually. This invention solves this problem by providing a personal mobility vehicle which includes a main frame unit (2) with a pair of spaced rear wheels (9, 10) mounted on movably mounted axles (11, 12) which are connected to arms (59, 60) with a motor (15) actuated mechanism for selectively moving the axles (11, 12) to vary the wheel base and track.</p> |
