A waste-heat boiler for recovery of waste heat from dust-laden hot gases, in particular from a coke dry-cooling facility, features a construction not vulnerable to the effect of the dust, characterised by a horizontal boiler (3) having a horizontal gas pass and vertical heating surfaces (4), and by a gas inlet chamber (5) upstream of the horizontal boiler (3) with a gas intake nozzle (6) leading into it, and forming with it a preliminary dust sifter. <IMAGE>
