PURPOSE: To reduce the load of a CPU, to improve a response speed to performance and to obtain an effective playing condition by immediately transmitting information to be transmitted to a CPU at the time of executing time- divided(TD) waveform information processing. CONSTITUTION: The electronic musical instrument is provided with a central control part, a TD waveform information processing means and transmission means 14, 26 for immediately transmitting TD channels CH0 to CH3 to the central control means when an event to be transmitted to the central control means is generated in the processing means and the transmission means 14, 26 correspond to the number of TD channels less than the practical number of TD channels and transmit the information of the TD channels to the central control part. Namely when an event to be transmitted to the central control part is generated in the processing means, the transmission means 14, 26 transmit the information of a specific TD channel out the TD channels less than the practical TD channels to the central control part. Consequently the load of the central control part is reduced and a response speed to performance is improved. |
